ABOUT FRANZNAP MINIATURES

Franznap Miniatures has been the realisation of a childhood dream , where i was hoping one day i could make my own soldiers.

Why ?

As child in the 60's i grew up with H00 Scale Airfix and somehow my favourites where always the ones from the Napoleonic time and in scale 1/72.

But also because in my opinion this is a very fine scale, a very difficult one because it still need good details but they are very small .

When?

I attempted my first self produced figures in 2010, but took almost 2 years to finally build a steady production. The real brand was established in 2014.

How?

I work by myself, and i sculpt using several products, but mainly with Greenstuff and Magic Sculpt; the masters are sent to Germany where the testing for making the moulds starts. The German Producer also makes the quality check and all the shipments.

ABOUT MYSELF

My name is Francesco Messori, i was born in Modena Italy in 1961, i am an architect as profession and i live and work in Amsterdam

I have a wife, two beautiful daughters and a cat.

I started collecting  painting  and converting my own toy soldiers since my childhood, and in the begin of the 10's i started to sculpt and produce my own miniatures.
